Sideways Cardigan, originally uploaded by yarngal628.

Hi Trish!

This is my beautiful sister wearing her birthday present.  I just love this sweater & I think I gave my sister a present as special as she is to me!  The pattern is from the cover of Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2008 and I was inspired by the beautiful sideways cardigan that Trish knitted up as soon as that issue arrived.  (By the way:  The follow-on corrections and charts at vogueknitting.com made this project far less complicated.)  The buttons on the sweater are real shells that my sister chose to go with the organic theme.

My project was knit with the Fiddlesticks Knitting Ecoknit Organic Cotton in Cream.  This project was definitely challenging, but incredibly rewarding and it really kept my interest. I really learned a lot from this pattern. I could not have even attempted this project without all of your (& Karen & Janet, too!) support and encouragement. Wanda was my personal coach with her infectious enthusiasm for this project, everytime I came in for help.

In closing, congratulations to Dave Ritz on another fantabulous creation!

Many Thanks,
Jennifer Gensemer
